GIF FRAME EDITOR

Give each frame its moment.

Use the timeline to inspect motion one frame at a time, adjust timing and refine the sequence without recreating the entire animation.

Edit a sequence

  1. Open the studio and import a GIF or APNG.
  2. Click a thumbnail or scrub the time ruler. Arrow keys step through frames.
  3. Shift-click a second thumbnail to select a continuous range. Ctrl or Command-click toggles individual selections.
  4. Set the duration for the current frame or apply a duration to the selection. Drag a thumbnail to reorder it.
  5. Use Play to preview, then open Export to choose the output format.

See the transition

Onion skin overlays the previous and next frames at reduced opacity. It is a viewing aid only and does not appear in exports. For jitter or doubled edges, pause playback and compare neighboring poses.

Timing details

The editor supports per-frame delays from 20 to 5,000 milliseconds. Playback speed scales the animation duration. GIF timing is stored in hundredths of a second; test the exported animation in its destination because applications may impose their own playback limits.

What this timeline does

This is a frame-based GIF/APNG editor. It does not provide audio tracks, multitrack video compositing, or a professional video codec export pipeline.
